Childrens Ski Base Layers

The layer next to the skin is perhaps one of the most important to get right in the freezing temperatures of the ski slopes. Whilst active in cold climates, you need to maintain and control kids body temperatures with a layering system that starts with a good quality base layer. For those active kids who work up a sweat, our childrens base layers are designed to wick perspiration away and keep the garment dry. Not all general tops are suited to skiing as those long hours on the slopes generates a lot of heat and moisture which if not wicked away can leave kids feeling very cold. We would recommend looking for synthetic fabrics such as polyester or a high content of merino wool but avoid cotton.
