HESTRA SIZE GUIDE
Use the guide below to help select your Hestra glove or mitten size. Measurements provide a useful starting point, but a ski glove should allow a small amount of room around your hand and fingers for the best combination of comfort, warmth and practicality.
How Hestra Gloves Should Fit
A ski glove should not fit too tightly. When trying gloves on, they will naturally be dry and should slip on and off reasonably easily. However, it's worth remembering that during a day's skiing the inside of the glove may become slightly damp or clammy from perspiration. If the glove is already a very tight fit when dry, it can become much more difficult to put on or remove once it has absorbed some moisture.
A little extra room also allows space for a thin glove liner if you need additional warmth on particularly cold days.
Most importantly, an overly tight glove can compress the insulation. While your hands warm the insulation, it is the tiny pockets of trapped air within the fibres that retain much of that heat. Compressing the insulation reduces those air pockets and can therefore reduce the glove's ability to keep your hands warm.
Adult Glove Sizes
Measure the length of your hand from the tip of your index finger to the base of your palm. For the hand circumference, measure around the widest part of your palm, excluding the thumb.
