Spotlight on... Fischer VACUUM FIT

Fischer's VACUUM FIT came to our Harrogate store in 2013 and it has been a consistently popular choice ever since then. Working closely with Austrian Skiing equipment manufacturers Fischer, we installed their revolutionary 'VACUUM FIT Station', enabling us to give customers a 100% perfect fitting ski boot.

For those who are new to Fischer's VACUUM FIT, here is everything you need to know about it...

Essentially, the VACUUM FIT station is a way of heating Fischer Ski boot shells to an appropriate temperature, allowing them to be formed around the contours of the wearer's foot. The boot can be adjusted up to 5 times, in a process that in total takes around thirty minutes. Using Fischer's VACUUM FIT, we can guarantee customers a 100% perfectly fitting ski boot.

How does VACUUM FIT work?
VACUUM FIT is achieved in a three step process, utilising the VACUUM FIT Oven, VACUUM FIT Station and Compression Pad:

Fischer Vacuum Fits Ski Boot

Step 1
The first step is to heat up the boot shell at a temperature of 80 Degrees Celsius. The boot shell is heated in the VACUUM FIT Oven for 10 minutes.

Step 2
After the boot has been heated it is ready to be formed to the wearer's foot. The wearer puts the heated shells onto their feet over the boot's liner. The cooling pad and the compression pad are then put over the boot shell, while the wearer stands in a ski position on the VACUUM FIT station.

Step 3
The final step of the process see the VACUUM FIT Station release compressed air into the Compression Pad, until reaching the appropriate level that the boot shell is formed around the contour's of the wearer's foot, creating a 100% perfect fit.
