Here are a few facts about the Austrian brand that you might not already know...
Steffner are very much a family business, having been founded in 1928 by the Steffner family in Altenmarkt in Austria's Salzburg province. From the outset it was Steffner's goal to produce the finest quality apparel and hats for cold environments, with a particular focus on premium quality knitwear.
Today Steffner are still based in their hometown of Altenmarkt, with all of their products being designed, developed and produced in Austria. They remain a family company, currently being led by Matthaus Steffner as Managing Partner.
The production of Steffner's knitwear follows a rigorous process to ensure that the best quality products are sold and are produced in an ecologically efficient manner...
Steffner's knitted fabrics for their garments are produced using modern, electronically controlled knitting machines. This ensures that their processes are both economical and ecological by reducing energy consumption and cutting down on wasted materials. Steffner garments are then ironed to the highest standard using high-spec ironing machines to ensure the best usability and excellent appearance.
The knitted pieces for Steffner's garments that are not fully-fashioned are precisely cut, before being assembled on special machines in line with the company's own high quality standards. Advanced and highly efficient machines ensure perfect workmanship in all of Steffner's knitted garments, all of which are made in Austria.
